OPERATIONAL MANUAL:

  • Hold the `SMDR-32` vertically, open the jaws & place them across the seal. This seal is very important, if a seal is crimped off-centre it may cause the strap to become loose & snap apart, possibly resulting in serious injury.
  • Press the handle of the sealer together until proper sealing is done while keeping the sealer in a vertical position.
  • Remove the sealer & inspect the seal to verify it is properly holding the strap. The seal should have four impressions, two on each side. The notches should be centred on the seal. If the impression isn’t properly formed, remove it & repeat with a new seal & strap. Attempting to reseal the previous seal will not ensure a proper sealing & will decrease the break strength.
  • Never use the sealer to break the strap. Breaking the strap without the proper cutter may cause it to snap back towards the operator, possibly resulting in serious injury. This action may also damage the sealer and require repair or replacement.
