OPERATIONAL MANUAL:
- Hold the SSR-114H vertically, open the Jaws & place the jaws across the seal. This seal is very important as if the seal is crimped off-centre it may cause the strap to become loose & snap apart, possibly resulting in serious injury.
- Press the handle of the sealer together until the proper sealing is done, while keeping the sealer in vertical position. Repeat the operation if double notch is required, by placing the tool at a suitable place over the seal maintaining a suitable gap with previous notch.
- Remove the sealer & inspect the seal to verify the seal is properly holding the strap. The seal should have four impressions, one on each side. The notches should be centered on the seal. If impression isn’t properly formed, remove it & do it again with new seal & strap. Attempting to reseal will not ensure a proper seal & will decrease the break strength.
- Never use the sealer to break the strap. Breaking the strap without the proper cutter may cause the strap to snap back towards the operator, possibly resulting in serious injury. This action will also cause damage to the sealer, which will require the sealer to be repaired or replaced at owner’s expense.
